Bob Peterson Memorial Telecommunications Scholarship application

James Valley Telecommunications will be awarding 5 $1000 scholarships in 2012 to area seniors whose parents or legal guardians are members of the cooperative.

Deadline
Applications must be returned to the school guidance counselor or to JVT's office by April 5, 2012.

Qualifications
Applicant must be a high school senior who will be graduating in the Spring of 2012 and whose parents/legal guardian are members of James Valley Telecommunications. Seniors must be attending an accredited college, university or vocational school in South Dakota in the Fall of 2012. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required.

All applicants must submit the Bob Peterson Memorial Telecommunications Scholarship application. In addition, all applications shall submit a short essay of 500 words or less on the theme "How does James Valley Telecommunications improve lives across its service area and in your community?"

Immediate family members of James Valley Telecommunications' directors and employees are not eligible for the JVT Scholarship Program.

Selection
Selection of recipients will be based on the following criteria: 25% application, 25% academic achievement, 50% essay. Special consideration will be given for applicants who select the telecommunications industry.
